Meet The Team

Tim’s 27 years in the green industry include 16 years in the field – starting in a hometown nursery, moving to a laborer on a landscape crew, followed by 7 years as a foreman and then 5 more as a superintendent on some of the largest and most complex projects in the Denver metro area. For the last 11 years, Tim has worked as a project manager for two of the premier landscape construction firms on the Front Range. Tim is also bilingual, holds a bevy of industry certifications, and has vast experience with installation, estimating, project and operations management, purchasing, subcontractor management, contract negotiation, and all other aspects of landscape construction.

Mark began his career in the green industry in 2005, working for a small landscape maintenance company during his summer breaks. In the Spring of 2013, he moved to Colorado to pursue a career in landscape design/build. Upon arriving in Colorado, he began working for one of Denver’s premier firms – holding roles as a Foreman, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Operations Manager. After nearly a decade of service with the same firm, Mark teamed up with Tim and Alpine to build something both unique and well-oiled. Mark has an acute sense of detail and specializes in running teams, maintaining order, and inspiring excellence in everyone he works with. In his free time, Mark enjoys skiing, fishing, cycling, and playing his guitar.

Kate LaPointe has a career-long history in data management and organization. Her 16 years of experience ranges from the non-profit sector to landscape construction and includes training in multiple database platforms, creation and maintenance of tracking, estimating, and accounting systems, project and contract administration, knowledge of landscape estimating and construction, and construction safety practices. Kate provides the administrative support that allows our team to focus entirely on delivering a quality project to our customers on time and on budget.

Jordan’s nearly 10 years in the industry include time at a greenhouse, a nursery, and a major Denver Metro area landscape construction contractor, where he started as a lead man and grew quickly into a project manager, responsible for major projects throughout the Denver area. A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Environmental Horticulture and concentrations in Landscape Design and Contracting, Jordan competed for 3 years in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition, racking up 7 top-ten finishes in various events, including 1st place in Small Engine Repair and 2nd place in Wood Construction in 2019. A skilled woodworker, Jordan brings meticulous planning and attention-to-detail to all of his projects.

Dustin brings over 20 years of landscape construction experience to the Alpine team. He began his career in the green industry in Michigan in 2003, at a small landscape company specializing in boulder retaining walls, working his way from laborer to construction foreman. Dustin relocated to Denver in February 2016 to join a high-end design build firm. His strong work ethic, keen eye for detail, and perfectionist craftsmanship enabled him to grow from assistant construction foreman, to foreman, to senior foreman, and eventually to superintendent, leading multiple crews throughout the metro area. When Dustin is not installing beautiful landscapes, he can be found hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, skiing, and enjoying adventures with friends and family.

Mackinzie joined the Alpine team in 2023 after spending the last decade working in the green industry in the Pacific Northwest, where he also studied Landscape Management and Greenhouse Nursery Management.  Mack brings an impressive array of credentials to the team, including experience in tree care and pruning as well as positions as a landscaper at a prestigious golf club, and as an enhancements foreman at an award-winning residential landscaping company.  Mackinzie specializes in horticulture and has a passion for all things outdoors. When Mackinzie is not at work creating beautiful outdoor spaces he enjoys hiking, fishing, hanging out with his dogs, and time at the gym!

Vanessa joined the Alpine team in 2024, bringing a background spanning education and small business operations. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University, she spent eight years as a classroom teacher before transitioning into small business operations and nonprofit grant writing consulting.

Now a Preconstruction Associate, Vanessa provides design and administrative support and is eager to expand her role in pre-construction and estimating. She is also pursuing certifications in CAD, SketchUp, and landscape design, with a focus on AutoCAD and 3D modeling.

Her diverse background allows her to bring a blend of creativity and innovation to Alpine, supporting a variety of projects and roles.
